What does the Opportunity Score actually mean?

It is a 0–100 measure of how well-prepared and practically pursuable your situation looks based on what you told us — not a prediction of any legal outcome. A higher score means your dispute is clearly described, timely, quantified, supported by readable evidence, and directed at a party who appears able to pay. A lower score usually means information is missing, not that your situation lacks merit.

What inputs are used to calculate it?

Your category and matter type, your answers in the guided interview (timing and limitation signals, liability and causation details, damages ranges, resolution attempts, and the chronology of key dates), your written narrative, and the text actually extracted from any documents you upload. Filenames alone never affect the score — a document only counts once its contents have been scanned and read. Every report includes a 'How this score was calculated' section listing each factor and its weight.

How does one-sided evidence affect the result?

Your assessment is built entirely from your side of the story. The other party's facts, documents, witnesses, and defences are not in it, and they can change the picture materially. Treat the score as a measure of how strong your own preparation is today, not as a forecast. As new information arrives — including from the other side — the picture can shift in either direction.
